Tasting note: Deeply coloured, full-bodied red wine with the characteristic prune and blue flower aromas of very ripe St Laurent, while on the palate, Kékfrankos contributes tautness and playful acidity. New and used oak also add spiciness to the wine.

Winemaking: The two varieties are vinified separately, both are fermented on their skins for 14-16 days with spontaneous malolactic fermentation and then partially aged in 15-year-old oak barrels for 15 months. Fined and bottled unfiltered.

Food pairing: Hungarian-style paprika dishes, red meat, mature cheeses.

Recommended serving temperature: 16-17ᵒC
